The open competition is for short stories up to 3,000 words and poems up to 40 lines
The open competition is for short stories up to 3,000 words and poems up to 40 lines
In each category, there are prizes of £300, £150 and £100. There are also additional Bedford Prizes of £100 for the best story and poem written by a Bedford resident.
All entries in both categories must be original and unpublished.
There is an entry fee of £6 per poem or story, or three poems/stories for £12.
The closing date is 30 September.
On 4 October, Bedford International Writing Competition will be hosting An Evening with Alexander McCall Smith (pictured), with all proceeds going to Bookaid International.
